Iron Man is a comic book superhero, a fictional hero, invented and published by Marvel Comics. He was first brought to life in a comic “Tales of Suspense” (back in 1963) by artists Jack Kirby and Don Heck. The video game inspired by the comic book received very bad reviews, but the movie starring Robert Downey Jr. became a huge success. Year and a half later, a sequel is awaiting its premiere, with the same actor in a leading role, and few more A-listers included in the production.
“Iron Man 2” is a movie in which Robert Downey Jr will reprise his role as an Iron Man. After his fabulous roles in few movie hits like “Chaplin”, “Zodiac”, “Sherlock Holmes” this will be a great and fresh step in his career. The public already met him as a super hero, comic book fans accepted him, and he delivered an excellent performance in the part 1.
In the sequel, he will be accompanied by few true superstars. First on the list is Gwyneth Paltrow, also from the old Iron Man crew, Scarlett Johansson (Hollywood’s most popular young actress and Woody Allen’s muse), Mickey Rourke (man who made the greatest comeback in Hollywood recently, with the movie “Wrestler”), Don Cheedle, Paul Bettany, Sam Rockwell and Samuel L. Jackson (all critically acclaimed and ultra talented and popular superstars).
One of the most important facts here is that original writers and comic book authors Jack Kirby and Don Heck are working on this movie, which guarantees that the true spirit and idea of an Iron man will stay untouched.
As for the story, in this chapter we meet new villains, and iron man faces new temptations and fights, in order to save the ones he loves, and protect the whole humanity.
Don’t miss this “Iron Man 2” and the chance to see Robert Downey Jr. fighting two bad guys – Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell, and of course – getting the girl in the end!
