The story is about a seventeen year old teenager Ronnie Miller whose life takes a sudden turn when her parents undergo a divorce. Her father, Steve Miller and played by Greg Kinnear, left her in the custody of her mother Jonah Miller, played by Bobby Coleman, and moved to an Island in Georgia and completely left behind his life in New York City to have a fresh start. She was somewhat distraught, estranged and very angry about her family and alienated herself from her mother as well. But when Jonah dies, everyone thinks that it would be better for her if she would spend some time in the island of Tybee with her father.Written by Nicholas Sparks and Jeff Van Wie for the wide screen, The Last Song movie is a musical drama which tells the story of a young teenager who re-establishes her relationship with her father after years of separation from his wife and whose nasty divorce imprinted an apparent negative impression on the daughter’s mind.
